I retract mycomments. After speaking with the owner again and after having read your blog, she realized you had breakfast the day before the menu change... So you are correct the previous menu stated fresh salsa.
However, I suggest you give then another try as they recently have taken back over (a few weeks before your visit) and have made many great changes with lots of other homemade dishes.

We stopped going to Marlee's 2 years ago when they turned the restaurant over.WE WERE SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNERS, STEFANO, HELEN AND MATT HAVE RETURNED AND TAKEN THE RESTAURANT BACK. Now they have to undo the 2 previous years. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and seeing all of the friendly faces that have returned. Think you should give it another try. Remember, they are still working on getting the restaurant back the way it was 2 years ago.

Had breakfast this morning and the actual hard-copy menu clearly DOES NOT state the salsa is fresh... and there's still no such item as the Fiesta Omelette.

However, after speaking with the owner, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the biscuits, sausage gravy, corned beef hash (along with the corned beef), canadian bacon, sausage patty are all homemade. And they buy the sausage links from Emil's. I asked why they don't make the salsa and she told me it would be hard to do since that's the only item on the menu that gets it.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion regarding the hash browns and your experience, but your facts are still wrong.

Everyone has their opinion and while some of the food was good at Marlee's...the overall breakfast only lived up to a C. The hash browns were overcooked (as stated in the review) and while you did check the menu online..it's not a .pdf copy of the actual menu at the restaurant. We double checked the menu and it clearly stated the salsa was made 'fresh'.

I even have a few co-workers that think I should have scored Marlee's Diner lower than a C.

We were hoping to find a new breakfast spot when we sat down. We were sorry to find it did not live up to our hopes.
